About Organelle

Organelle is a design partnership created by Alex Witko and Courtney Hunt that practices at the intersection of art, design, and fabrication. We maintain an organic process and collaborative approach to ensure each project is unique. Urban, social and environmental issues permeate all of our work. We are committed to shifting the way we look at our built world and resources and take delight in transforming found objects, materials, technologies and spaces.

Alex received degrees in Architecture from The University of British Columbia and The University of Maryland. He has taught several environmental design studios as well as a graduate seminar on urban architecture and light. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and has worked in New York, Washington DC, Vancouver, and St. Petersburg.

Courtney has studied Architecture at Columbia University GSAPP and holds a degree in Environmental Design from the University of British Columbia. She brings a breath of knowledge to each project having worked for an experimental organic farm, Habitat for Humanity and Americorp as well as practicing with several design firms in the US and Canada.
